Deck Vader 2

Just built, so it’s still raw. An ideal hand would have a weapon, Way of the Force and Truce. Then, play Way of the Force first. Way of the Force is the most important card. But if you pull it late, it doesn’t matter. Since both Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch and Snoke - Supreme Leader are blue, you can spot either for it to work. Put the elite die on either Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch or Bala-Tik - Gang Leader. If you just pull a weapon, put any redeploys on Bala. It’s hard to know who to target first, if you’re the opponent. Bala can re-ready after defeating a character, but players might be thrown off by Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch ability. Even though the deck is bad for her ability, her sides are amazing for this deck and Snoke - Supreme Leader’s power action. Snoke is probably the most powerful part of all of this, but his high health guarantees a turn or two, even if he’s defeated. And by then, hopefully you’ve made one of the others elite and full of weapons. I think, early on, using Snoke’s Power Action to collect three resources can be huge. Let’s say you just get a weapon and Way of the Force. You can deploy the weapon, get a resource side on that activation or one of the others (dice gods willing, each of your character dice has a resource side), power action Snoke - Supreme Leader and pay for Way of the Force. After a couple simulated hands, I was amazed at the amount of damage dealt and resources gained. You can do enough damage turn one to defeat a character and re-ready Bala-Tik - Gang Leader. If you get one weapon out with Way of the Force, next turn, you could get up to four damage from Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch, 3-4 damage from [Bala-Tik - Gang Leader(/card/01019) and any weapons he has and then use Snoke’s power action to make two more ranged damage. So, if everything rolled perfect turn two, you can potentially roll out 4 indirect damage from Snoke - Supreme Leader, 4 ranged from Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch, 4-5 from Bala and two more from Snoke - Supreme Leader’s power action. Target a low health character and Bala-Tik - Gang Leader re-readies to deliver another 4-5 damage. If you have extra resources with Snoke’s ability, you can roll out more weapons or avoid Hondo Ohnaka - Respected Businessman’s bullshit. We’ll see how this goes!

7/14/18 Got rid of the Feel Your Anger and Anger cards. Also, I got rid of Extract. The errata of Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert should make her a lot less playable in tournaments. I added in Canto Bight Pistols because I kept getting cash in the middle of the rounds that I couldn't spend. Looking for a better weapon is still something I want to do. The deck is super fast too, so I thought Force Speeds would be nice to make that a huge thing. We'll see!

7/17/18 Bad results at SC. Should drop Force Speed. Maybe change up Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch with Veteran Stormtrooper. I should add in All In and Doubt.

Actually added in Veteran Stormtrooper, so The Best Defense..., Training and Captain Phasma's Blaster. And All In.

Way of the Force doesnt seem worth it in this deck. There are much better options for 3 resources than gaining a Bala-Tik - Gang Leader die.

Totally! I very quickly took Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch out, so that was left over from when I had two characters I could use it on. Might put another All In in. Open to suggestions though. When I put in the Veteran Stormtrooper, it all started to click. I only lost one match bc of time, and it came down to a roll. So I’ll update it before my store tournament tonight. I have a store championship on Sunday that I want to roll with this deck. Thanks for the input!

@dustin13862 Way of the Force can be played on the Veteran Stormtrooper, but then it is a 3 cost Training. It has the same wording as Training.

@Razelll thats why I was confused. Training would be a really good upgrade for this deck though. Trooper is 3rd, or maybe second target at the start of the game.

Sorry, y'all. I meant to update this a bit before playing tonight. I already have Training in here. Two copies, as opposed to the one listed. It works really well bc either people target Bala with the redeploy weapons or Snoke for his focus/elite/power action stuff. For instance, in my first match tonight, I put Training on First Order Stormtrooper the first move, and hit both indirect three sides on First Order Stormtrooper. I power actioned one dice to five indirect, rolled in Snoke - Supreme Leader, hit his two indirect sides and dealt 12 indirect in the first turn against Snoke - Supreme Leader/Kylo Ren - Tormented One. I was lucky the guy playing couldn't play his Overconfidence that turn. He put most damage on Snoke, but I killed Kylo Ren - Tormented One by round 2. Snoke by round four with Veteran Stormtrooper also getting a couple weapons. And the guy I played against killed Bala-Tik - Gang Leader in the first round, so this could have been faster. Bala-Tik - Gang Leader is an excellent decoy if you don't hit redeployable weapons. So far, this deck in its current form is 4-2. One loss went to time and an unlucky roll. The other I was destroyed by an awesome Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch/DJ - Treacherous Rogue mitigation deck.
