How does Qi'ra's special work exactly? You roll in a Maul die and immediately resolve it unless you pay 1 to reroll it (then immediately resolve or remove it)?

Is the pay resource option in case someone tries to remove it with an effect (die protection)?

@Snortado Qi'ra's special works like this: you resolve her special side to roll in a maul die. Then instead of removing qi'ra's die (from the ) you can pay 1 resource to roll qi'ra's die back into the pool. From this special mauls dice just get's rolled in. and you can choose whether or not (via paying a ) that qi'ra's die is naturally removed (via the resolve) or rolled back into the pool.
