I've been running a Palp/Nute deck recently, but this is likely what I will shift the list to once Covert Missions finally drops.

Personally, I like Nute for his passive ability (I just need to remember it more). People have asked about Wat Tambor - Techno Union Foreman or Conan Motti - Overconfident Officer, but to me, I don't love either of their abilities with Palp. I'd run Wat before Motti because of he can generate money more quickly than Motti.

The only new adds from CM are Death Field and On Guard. On Guard just seems really spicy in this deck because it can reset an exhausted upgrade. Imagine being able to reset Admiral, Death Field, or even Force Storm. Pretty fun stuff. Death Field, even though super pricey, feel like a good add as well. The potential damage output of being able to roll it out at minimum 3 times per round seems too good to pass up on.

I've also included Separatist Embargo, somewhat because of Nute but also it can be somewhat useful! I can use it to avoid a potential Mind Extraction or Shadow Caster or something else. Obviously, a Palp matchup feels bad as there will likely be a lot of overlap on cards.

As far as Red Palp goes, I love the removal cards that he gains access to using. Rout is extremely fun to pull off, especially later in the game. The Best Defense... is also great to use, though can make your opponent target Nute as he gets closer to death.

Last bit I want to mention is Canto Casino - Canto Bight. Typically, if I win the battlefield I'll roll out Nute and then use Canto Casino in hopes of making more money. He has a 50% shot at hitting the same value and a 22% shot of hitting both the same value and same symbol. Feels bad to miss but it happens. Typically, I feel like I've been able to get ramped up in most games, though if an opponent is resolving a lot of disrupt it can hurt.

Overall, this deck without CM has been way more fun than I'd initially expected. IMO, actually getting the CM stuff in will make it that much better!
