The recent Infinite Holocron re-costing of both Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight and Mon Mothma - Skilled Politician now allows for the pairing of both characters for the very first time. This deck first began as a modernization of the famous Tiny Grimes eLuke/Ackbar deck of the Awakenings era but Mon Mothma's ability to reroll any die the color of the event card played makes the emphasis on focus-heavy upgrades moot. Instead I focused on the proliferation of melee damage multipliers (on both characters) and shield-generation. Most of these upgrades can be played on both characters. Thus by the mid-game, even if your opponent mitigates the melee damage coming from one character, they will likely end up taking damage from the other.
The ideal opening mulligan should include It Binds All Things and Honor Guard. The former will allow quicker access to damage/shield heavy upgrades. The latter, in conjunction with Docking Bay - Finalizer, can be used to endlessly regenerate mitigation for free.
Aside from Honor Guard, mitigation is provided by two copies each of the following 0-cost cards: Guard, Hidden Motive and Pacify. The latter can be used in emergencies to provide one of your characters with additional shields. Force Throw and Makashi Training also offer mitigation opportunities.
