Version 2 updated in light of the revised points for Luminara Unduli - Inspiring Commander to incorporate Built to Last. Other changes include bringing in some unique weapons, which with BTL all have redeploy. Playing one each round is realistic, to gain the extra resource.
Jedi Commanders Luminara Unduli and Aayla Secura both survived the Battle of Geonosis, proof enough that they kick ass.
Their abilities and dice complement each other nicely. An array of upgrades to choose from here, a mixture of 2 and 3 cost for flexibility. Master of the Council isn't necessary, but I'd really like to see one of these two become Master of the Council, and I think that's a good enough reason to include it ...
The deck emphasises shield aggression. Caution and Loth-Wolf Bond set up Ataru Strike or Riposte, or even better, the former followed by the latter. Force Speed can guarantee that combo; I only have one, but two would be better. Defensive Teaching increases the potential of those threats and lets you take full advantage of Caution when your characters already have a shield.
It Binds All Things and Reaping The Crystal provide discounts for your upgrades, getting them into play quickly (and sometimes for free) for maximum damage. There are also 11 zero cost cards in this deck, which helps you to focus your resources where you need them. Plus, all 4 of your character dice, and 6 of the upgrade dice, have resource sides. The deck economy is sound.
Because you want to use the shields aggressively, there's not a lot of defence here. As Tarkin said: "This had better work."
How did they get hold of Ezra's lightsaber, you ask? Well, when he was in the World Between Worlds, he found a window into the Battle of Geonosis, but in a moment of spectacular clumsiness, dropped his saber through the portal into the arena! Luminara picked it up and even decapitated some battle droids with it. Ezra then stalked her through various portals until he was finally able to slip through into Clone Wars time and nick it back from her while she was on a conference call with Yoda and Mace. Phew!
How they got hold of Rey's lightsaber is ... complicated.
