Social Enemy 157

Deciding on a partner for Palpatine wasn't the easiest thing to do. The e Palpatine - Unlimited Power/ e Watto - Stubborn Gambler deck was a tempting one, especially because it's 4 dice, but due to the fact that I have yet to actually get a single Watto - Stubborn Gambler out of 3 boxes and 2 Limiteds, I decided to give Jabba The Hutt - Influential Kingpin a shot. The nice thing about this deck is that I get to run Double Down. Now deciding what to double down here is key. I've seen streams that run 3 Palpatine's Lightsaber, but I decided that it's not worth it, especially since I'm running Protective Suit which I need to protect Palps from those pesky Mind Extractions. I decided on 3 Bartering and 3 Truce, which I think is smart due to being able to use Jabba to tutor for them.

For Upgrades, I ran 3 Bartering cause they are cheap and I can use them to get more resources. Force Jump and Malice are also good low cost abilities. The big finisher ability here is Force Storm, with its amazing dice sides. I'm also running 2 Palpatine's Lightsabers due to them being generically good in this deck and 2 Protective Suits.

The support package here is pretty standard, both of which are aimed at lowering the cost of my upgrades. Same with events, which get me resources, healing, and some removal. this deck certainly has less removal than your standard Big-Blue-Character/Small-Yellow-Support deck, but due to Palps' inherent ability of getting health from abilities I feel it's okay. For the battlefield I chose Salt Flats - Crait because I have two leaders. I also didn't feel a lack of resources during playtesting, but we'll see after I play more games. Palpy's home Theed may still find a spot here.
