  • Hello! So when AtG came out I was really hyped for big vehicles with big upgrades...and hence FatFalcon was build. So how this crazy contraption works?

Lets analize the decklist:

Rebel Engineer - multi-purpose character. His main purpose is to ensure you have fresh upgrades to put onto your Falcon, especially Triple Laser Turret that is crucial to get by turn 2 (best play is to have it turn 1). But his double cash side is also very important and focus does not hurt.

Anakin Skywalker - Podracing Prodigy and L3-37 - Droid Revolutionary are the pair that allow this deck to work. Anakin is dual purpose - first he is the main source of required 5 resources in turn 1 that you need`. Second is that after his activation you turn L3 dice to any side since she is a droid. Missing cash side, or 2 focus are the key. And his ability still works after L3 turns into mod.

L3 on ther other hand is to give you focuses and reactivate Falcon after she dies.

Armored Reinforcement is the key card that enabled this deck. It lets you search your deck for vehicle and play it 1 cheaper.

So your first turn should look something like this: Mulligan hard for Triple Laser Turret, but never drop Truce if you have it. Activate L3>activate Anakin>turn L3 to focus/cash>activate Engineer to search for TLT if needed. Then cash in 3 resources. Pop your plot. This way you just played vehicles for 8 (cause Millennium Falcon comes in with Escape Craft in bundle) for 5 and in addition did it from your deck... Once you get your Falcon on the field , remenber to detach the escape craft and activate it - free cash or shield never hurts, and attach it again then overwrite it with Triple Laser Turret before activating Falcon to make its die immune to mitigation.

Round 2 and onwards your game plan changes entirely. With the turrets support your damage flow, and use R2 Astromech, Strategic Planning, Reckless Reentry (for this one roll in Falcon with TLT, and resolve just Falcon to keep its die protected - and Falcon has no blanks), and L3-37 - Droid Revolutionary ability. But how to force L3 to die first? Easy - Karabast!, Crash Landing and Draw Attention to put all the heat in the world on her.

Confidence,Easy Pickings, Flank, Nature's Charm and Outgun (that one is great - for 2 res you have Entangle on steroids) to keep rest of your team up and kicking.

Shadow Casters are your backup plan if Falcon get destroyed somehow (with 6 cost its not that easy) or your first turn is disturbed. Its not nearly as good, but 6 ranged for 0/1 can do its job.

Falcon reactivating can deal SUPRISING amounts of damage... Dunno if this deck is Tier1. It seems pretty easy to counter - but you have to build another one with countering this one in mind. In all around meta enviroment Im winning most of my games with it, even vs top meta Snoke decks it fares well and even when loosing its by an inch of bad rolls. But for sure its super fun to play (or not - I never had so many kicks on TTS until i started playing it :D ) and Falcon finally is what Falcon was supposed to be :)

Wasn't it ruled that Anakin can't focus droid characters? I believe this was when people did K2 with him.

Caniac 174

I'm wrong, I just looked it up and K2 was an issue since he didn't have the subtype of droid. My bad.

vitalis09 331

@Caniac yeap currently there is nothing that prevents Anakin from turning K3 dice, since there is no disclosure between Droids as supports and Droids as characters. I even had EMP grenades argument raised - but there was an issue of "discarding" instead of "defeating" and character cannot be discarded :)

Caniac 174

@vitalis09 I'm then wondering if it is a mod that can't be removed for that very reason? Unless they consider it no longer a character when it's a mod to allow it to be discarded.

@Caniac I think they had some forethought with that L3 states "If this card would leave play as an upgrade, set it aside instead" so it avoids "discard" triggers but will still be removed once she is an upgrade. I think this is going to be one of those conversations that happens a lot.

@vitalis09This is pretty sweet. Maybe try to fit in 2 Rebel so you can replay Strategic Planning?

Looks great. Just with any second game with the same opponemt, it might be easy to counter i.e. with opponemt rolling quickly searching for a disrupt or using mitigation on your focus/resource dice. You might also think about such additions as Chance Cube or Logistics. This will make You safer from first turn disruption, as the first turn seems crucial for this deck.

vitalis09 331

@preptime no need. You already have 7 cards to reactivate Falcon. Rebel would be a a drawback in fact as you would have to hunt for those discard sides. @Kiminiwisi yes I agree. But damn its really hard to squeeze anything more. Mitigation package is really tight, same as Falcon-package. Only thing that comes to my mind is to cut 1 Shadowcaster for Logistics. I know 2x would be better but i have no idea what to cut. Maybe, but only maybe 1 Laser Cannon. Chance Cube IMO is waaaaay too risky. If it whiffs or is removed you are 1 crucial cash back. Logistics sound nice, TY for suggestion.

@vitalis09 I was thinking on taking out Confidence Nature's Charm and Flank. As replacement for two Logistics and additional Crash Landing. The switch in mittigation will accelarate You with killing off L3-37 - Droid Revolutionary. Now that I think of it...perhaps in that case Draw Attention might be a candidate to swap for Crash Landing. My tinking is that You have squashy characters and Flank can be quickly turned off, with its play restriction.

vitalis09 331

@Kiminiwisi Crash Landing landing vs Confidence is up to you. Confidence is great for removing those single black sides in mod heavy decks, or to force that Darth Vader - Terror To Behold shields or cash to be resolved when he is hunting for more damage. With Draw Attention there is one trick: it can overkill L3 as it moves dmg not distribute it like Crash Landing - same to even more extend goes for Karabast! that if lucky can work as effective 2 heal.

Icezox 7

Just to know if you play on your BF then the falcon is only 4 sinc its your first one. Why did you say 5 on your presentation

vitalis09 331

@Icezox cause 99% percent of time you loose BF roll, and no one with right mind will give you your BF :D

dpuck1998 46

Who in their right mind wouldn't kill L3 last?

Beaconfire 1

I am just asking, but not L337 as elite instead of Anakin? It seems Anakin is the for sure kill, and if they kill L337 first, then you would get the 2 dice on your falcon. I am sure there is a reason you go Anakin elite, but just my two cents.

vitalis09 331

@dpuck1998 You yourself. Crash Landing,Karabast!, Draw Attention. Either they will finish her up or you keep healing your characters they focus :) @Beaconfire just cause he got 2x3 resources on his dice. L3 dice is great but lacking those. And once she is on the Falcon shes mostly is there just to reactivate it anyway.
