With the meta shakeup, a classic villain pairing comes out of retirement. Darth Vader - Sith Lord & Tusken Raider, a long time powerhouse aggro pairing of force and rogue returns with some new tools in its kit. Ancient Lightsaber for it’s low cost, fair sides, anti-mill and healing special. BD-1 Cutter Vibro-AX for it’s shield stripping power for those pesky Qui-Gon Jinn - Ataru Master decks. Crossguard Lightsaber, because it’s a less expensive, and honestly betterment version of Kylo Ren's Lightsaber. Shoto Lightsaber for it’s ability, when paired with blue weapons, to grant you shields or deny them from opponents. And my personal favorite new tool, Deadly. A 2 upgrade that gives Vader or the Raider consistency that Force Strike wishes it could. Roll in that 1 side? No problem. Exhaust deadly and deal 2 unblockable damage!

Comes complete with the powerhouse control suite as well, with Friends in Low Places being an all-star with Vader’s character ability. And a new finishing move as well,with Unyielding replacing No Mercy for massive resolves of unblockable damage even if that Vibroknife isn’t on a 1 or +2 side.

This deck really needs 2 bait and switches. Its literally 2 more force strikes......

@SillyJedi And what would remove for it? Truce helps for those pay sides, or zonking out a 1 removal. Unyielding let’s you resolve any amount of damage as unblockable. The rest of the events are removal or card removal. Bait and Switch I could see, if I had the room for it. Force Strike is overshadowed by Deadly far and wide, so less important to include.

Bait and Switch for days. I'd run it over two of your mitigation cards, as I feel there are probably 4 too many for balance. Almost your entire event suite is mitigation. And where is Force Strike

Deadly, while good, is not as good as Force Strike with Darth Vader - Sith Lord. Really, is anything as good as Force Strike with Vader?

@Dave Sharona Force Strike was great for him, yes, but Deadly gives 5/6 sides of 2 damage. 2 unblockable damage at that, for a one time fee of 2. Force Strike is 1, an event susceptible to Friends in Low Places, and allows 3 which, while you can instantly resolve, won’t be unblockable. Bait and Switch at least allows you to change a side to a side with the Ambush keyword, letting you pair it with a + die, such as the +2 from Vibroknife or the +3 from Ancient Lightsaber which makes it a contender for this deck. That is why Force Strike was omitted in this build, it doesn’t give the consistency that Deadly does in removing one of Darth Vader - Sith Lord’s dice whether it shoes a or a 2 for 2 unblockable damage.

This also speeds up the deck, allowing you battlefield control, and all but removes the reliance on rerolling his character dice for the 2 or 3 sides, or playing Force Strike/Bait and Switch to get the desired results. Both those cards are still good cards, but Deadly removes a lot of their relevance here. The former more than the latter. Not to mention you can’t Disarm Deadly, and Imperial Inspection under the new RRG can only bounce it a maximum of two times (once per copy).

Deadly could work good with backup muscle. You re already playing Vibro ax to handle shields.
If you want consistency on damage, i would add bait and switch, dark counsel and force strike instead of deadly and one quarter portions. Not sure about unyielding too, you have vibro ax. Last card to think about would be sound the alarm, works good with Vader auto discard.

@Leddon75 Deadly isn’t so much about the unblockable damage as it is about turning Darth Vader - Sith Lord’s dice into six sides of damage. It makes it so if your opponent doesn’t mitigate the die, it can be used for it’s original symbol OR damage. To put it simply, it’s a form of control and consistency in one. Do you Electroshock that 1 die or leave it, risking it being used as damage hoping it’ll be used for the ?

As for the rest of the suite, I’m expecting to see decks like Han Solo - Scoundrel+1, Qui-Gon Jinn - Ataru Master+1, and Rey - Finding The Ways+1 make big splashes. You want to keep those s off the latter two especially. Those must be taken into account when looking at this decklist.

I understand your point, i ll still always prefer to play any of your 2 cost weapons than it, because you get consistency adding dies. ( i.e one more die for your opponent to control) and i prefer for 2 ressources, playing one dark counsel and a control or force strike for one than deadly ... Deadly fits better on a jango or bazine deck with bad die to remove. Take a try on dark counsel at least ; )
