Now that Captain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician has been increased to 14 points, I've tried to find a new partner for Cad Bane and have settled on the Deathtrooper. This allows for some Cannon Fodder and Endless Ranks shenanigans. There are plenty of solid upgrades to trigger Cad's ability, most with ambush, and Infamous to add ambush to the Relby-V10 Mortar Gun. I personally like to hard mulligan for Hound's Tooth and one ambush weapon, but there's not much in this deck that isn't useful at almost every point in the game.

As for the choice in battlefield, Docking Bay - Finalizer can be useful for looping Stolen Cache for those sweet sweet resources.

I think you should squeeze in Training. An extra die on the trooper is the best weapon you can add with 4 damage sides.

@GenghisDonI definitely did consider that, I'll probably replace the T-7 with it since I'm not sold on being able to play it in this deck

I'm inclined to pair Cad with Ciena Ree - Adept Pilot instead. You get the same number of sides across 2 dice, and you pick up two dice with two sides each which helps Cad a ton - Logistics would be an easy include at that point too. That also adds value to He Doesn't Like You since you can sacrifice her dice which are substantially worse than Death Trooper's. Neither build is great since we're leaving points on the table, and ultimately the right call might depend what Plots are available for 2 or 3 points.

I do agree @Foz, Ciena Ree - Adept Pilota may be the better pairing, especially since she gets you another die. Unfortunately I don't have her, and I'm trying not to spend any more money on singles until Legacies comes out. I play mostly casually and one of my friends has Ciena, so I'll probably be doing some play testing next week

@Foz after a decent amount of testing, Death Trooper is much better than Ciena Ree - Adept Pilot. Once Cad Bane is gone, Ciena is pretty useless. The death trooper is definitely better alone. Using the death trooper is also helpful for being able to use cannon fodder to keep Cad alive
