Goopies 134

Lots of play testing to come up with these cards.

Notable exclusions from this list:

1) One With The Force MY GOD WHAT AM I THINKING!!11

This die has basically a 1 in 6 to be useful, and 5 in 6 to mediocre. I'd rather use Force Illusion and just keep my characters alive and roll 2 die that are more synergistic with the rest of the deck.

2) No Synchronicity

Every time I've played this card, I'd rather pitch it to reroll, or just resolve the damage/shields that are on the board before they can screw with my dice. This could be wrong, but I haven't missed it yet. Also, you do need to roll out before you can use it, so you can't just claim kill like you can with riposte.

Notable inclusions

1) Force Illusion

Lots of aggressive "shoobydoop you for 5" decks going around. This deck's goal is to get them to one character then crush them with Decisive Blow and Anticipate.

2) Anticipate

Over the course of the game someone is going to roll poorly, it happens every time. This is just a blowout in that case.

3) Lots of 1ofs Rey's Staff Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber It Binds All Things Decisive Blow

Most of these are obvious like Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber (it is only good on a character that won't die soon, and the second is a reroll pitch).

It Binds All Things You really NEVER want to see 2 (esp with no One With The Force) and this deck has a ton of things you want to see early anyway. Jedi Robes, Journals of Ben Kenobi Force Speed. I'm actually considering cutting this entirely, but the one in the opener is just so so good.

Decisive Blow is a blowout late game, but terrible otherwise.

How do you use Riposte ? Is it kept as "silver bullet" to make surprise kill on enemy character ? Or just to push more damage since there a lot of effects removing shields ?

First I will say Riposte isn't always great, depending on the deck I'll pitch it to reroll, but it does kind of do everything.

You typically want to use it aggressively to kill a character (if they are running 2 or more) before they can kill you.

But most of the time, it'll just be for the surprise kill. Typically you claim, get a shield (if your battlefield) then you can typically get them on first action. (jedi robes help this as well if Rey is alive)

I've actually updated this list a bit, I don't think binds all things is what this deck wants to be doing, and base damage is crazy valuable so another Rey's staff is in.

caution + riposte is a power combo as well - essentially turn a blank into 3 damage
