Luke is the high damage potential of the team, keeping him shielded and healthy with heal abilities and supports will ensure he gets from round to round even when under siege, and then counter attack when the dice rolls the right way.
Ezra Bridger plays the support role in the team with early resource and disrupt with his special. He won't survive for long if he is gone after first, but hopefully long enough to let Luke tank up.
