Round 1 - eAssajj/eSavage
Closer than I anticipated, opponent kept rolling 3s on both characters. Only won by 1-2 actions.
Result : 1-0
Round 2- eYoda2/eChopper/Gungan Warrior - 3 times got hit with double removal (Easy Pickings and Into The Garbage Chute ), and I made a mistake not triggering Retribution on two of those that ultimately kept Chopper alive a round or two more than he should have been. May or may not have mattered though. It's an opponent I was very familiar with, and one that rarely makes mistakes.
Result: 1-1
Round 3: e4-LOM/GG3/Sentinel Messenger - I somehow lost this while hitting a 3 on Fear and Dead Men and at least a 2 & 3 on Maul's Power Action. Final round got caught with no removal and too many die in the pool that he focused/re-rolled into 10+ damage.
Result: 1-2
Round 4: eSnoke/eJango2/LM - Close match-up, Opponent made a mistake in the next to last round with sequencing Fatal Blow (I think) that may have made a difference in the match. Ended up winning in the final round by Power Action'ing the Mando as the first action to kill 1 health Snoke.
Result: 2-2
Round 5: eHan3/eBiggs/AR Had Desperate Measures in my initial hand. Waited for him to ramp to enough money to get Falcon out. Played it and rolled in garbage. Re-rolled and got garbage. Re-rolled and got the 3R to pair with his +2R on Biggs and I finally DM'd it. He had no discard sides that he could use to get the DM out of my hand so I held onto for what seemed to be an eternity, but all-in-all the DM got 2 cards, wasted two die(the Han resource he used to pay, and the un-pairable +2R) and he still ultimately lost what he built the deck around. From there, Maul did work.
Result: 3-2
Round 6: eMaul/Phasma2/Retribution Super closer match. Ultimately what won me the game was his whiff on one of Maul's PAs. It was Mando and 2 Donderbus Blaster Pistol vs Phasma with Handheld L-S1 Cannon. In the final frame I rolled enough to kill Phasma in two actions, and if he would have rolled enough to kill Mando(3) with one action he would have won. Despite pretty good odds for him, I took it. gg.
Result: 4-2
Round 7: ePalp3/eWatto In the first round I -
All before activating either character, he had Force Storm he couldn't afford to play in his opening hand, plus a Fatal Blow way too early. Was able to kill off Palp with only 2 abilities and 1 Palpatine's Lightsaber on him. Once Palp was dead, opponent scooped. I don't think I had any damage on either character.
Result- 5-2.
There were 5-2's from position 4-12 after Swiss. I ended up having the worst strength of schedule and missing the cut due to my early struggles.
I would have made a few alterations to this deck.
Anyway, the day of the Prime was the first time I had ever played this deck. With the few notes from the deck this is derived from it was pretty easy to play. I had some fortunate match ups, but I'm still very happy to have made Top 16 at the biggest Prime thus far.
