This deck is a total Jank. I know it is. But for some reason, it's really fun to play and it's doing some actual work. So let's talk about it.

3 Character, 3 die lists are usually not fun...but! You can definitely get away with running Kylo Ren - Tormented One with 1 die, because his ability is effectively a second die with a 1/4 or better chance of hitting 2 damage. I'll buy that for a dollar.

What's really neat about running two Servant of the Dark Side is that not only are their dice really great, boasting potentially bursty melee damage and a very very valuable and often overlooked (in villain at least) focus side...but they effectively give every upgrade you play Redeploy potential.

This deck is EXTREMELY dependent upon Holocron being viable, so if you see Rend a lot (which I don't around here, or competitively), it might be tough.

Here's what I look for to begin.

I want Sith Holocron, Mind Probe, Dark Counsel, Temptation or a second force power (Force Throw ideally) and some mitigation. Doubt or Overconfidence turn one is nice.

Play a Holocron on Kylo. Activate Kylo. Mitigate if necessary. If you hit the special, do it, pay to roll it out.

If you hit the Holo special, put that Holo on a servant and then roll him out. If you didn't, put Dark Counsel on a servant and then roll him out. Hopefully he will get you a focus from one of those dice (Since they both have it) for the Holo special.

Don't be afraid to Holocron Special Temptation just to save the resource. I have done it, it's worth the economy and the ability to potentially throw the Holocron on 3 different characters turn 1. Just don't pay to roll it out.

The obvious target for first damage is Kylo Ren - Tormented One, which we're actually ok with. If he goes down first, TWO of his upgrades can redeploy to your servants, which is extremely powerful.

The ramp potential for this deck is also really insane. The last game I played, I had a Holocron, two copies of Mind Probe, a Dark Counsel, a Temptation, and a Force Throw on the table by round 2.

My second favorite play in this deck is loading up a Servant with two copies of Force Throw and then using the special to throw 3/$ melee sides at the opponent's characters for free. It's just silly.

My most favorite play is that I can very easily afford It Will All Be Mine due to the cheap upgrade ramp. While 3 resources is a lot, even resolving two of an opponent's dice as my own is just wonderful. I never feel bad about spending the resources on it, and it provides the craziest swing plays. That's also the reason Force Push is still in here over Force Lightning, but that might make it's way in eventually.

So, have fun, and don't be caught Hanging around. Loitering. Sitting.

Nice deck. You could include Anger to benefit from blanks on Holocron, Dark Counsel and Temptation... and for 0 cost against the 3 cost It Will All Be Mine (only one dice though).

In all the times I've included Anger in a deck, I can only think of one time I've actually gotten it to work properly. It's a GREAT swing card when it does go off. Of course, this deck really is heavy on blank sides, more than I'm used to playing.

I might nix Lightsaber Throw as I find I don't always have the die sides or the money for it. If so, I can try Anger in that spot for a spell.

Deck went 2-1 against eCienna/eBala/Nightsister last night. Holocron shenanigans are stupid, but if it doesn't go off, You're Gonna Have A Bad Time

It Will All Be Mine and Anger are way better an more fun to play than Lightsaber Throw, because they can seal the deal with that "surprise" effect. Have you ever been able to play Rise Again with that deck? I'm tempted to drop Abandon All Hope for Enrage (yes, money...) to fuel this baby. Thank you for sharing. I will certainly test run that darkydeck !

Rise Again is for longer games and when they (correctly) target the Servant of the Dark Sides first. I actually got it off last night in game 3 (and milled my opponent). I'm honestly surprised how often people take the cards with Temptation and give me two free resources.

Especially if I haven't rolled in a Mind Probe yet.

I haven't gotten a lot of value out of Abandon All Hope just yet, but it's there for Endless Ranks decks and Crime Lord/Rise Again/Buy Out

I took it out for a second copy of Rise Again and then just put it back in. I only wanted Rise Again as a two-of for consistency, and I'd rather have the potential blowout of crushing a resource ramp.

Definitely going to try #Anger in place of Lightsaber Throw for fun

If you put Immobilize in this deck, you would have more power for your It Will All Be Mine. I would replace Rise Again for it.

Dave Sharona 601

@maximus Immobilize can be cool, but I already have Force Push in here, I don't want to have to pay 2 for Immobilize, and I'd be reticent to use a Sith Holocron special on it unless I had no other targets in hand. One copy of Rise Again is sort of non-negotiable in this list.

Manipulate would be much more likely to make it into the list, but I don't feel like I need it right now

Force Push cost 3 and Immobilize cost 2. I would keep Force Push and replace Rise Again and Abandon all hope with Immobilize. Plus, it can gives you shields until you need the blank then you just need to remove it's dice to get a blank on an opponent dice. Any card that is in a deck once might not see play when you need it.

Took this to a game night and had a lot of fun. Landed a Force Lightning, So I dropped one Force Push.

I pulled It Will All Be Mine for The Power of the Force which is stupidly great with this deck and the slew of cheap or free upgrades.

Still considering. Manipulate and how to fit No Mercy
