Ruthlessly Vicious
Cad Bane and Ruthless Phasma team up for some limited action-cheating shenanigans!
The name of the game here is guns all day.
Strategy Tips
Ideally you want to roll Phasma out first, pick up a resource, then trigger Cad with a two cost weapon with ambush.
The guns are pretty self explanitory.
Armor Plating is for longevity (the deck has relatively low health otherwise).
Deadly is not necessarily something you want to see in your opening hand. It's a great finisher card though to sneak in damage near the end.
Removal suite went for free or cheap. Sound the Alarm is nuts.
Ramp is non-traditional: Truce and Prepare for War. The idea with Truce is to take more advantage of the resource than your opponent. Hopefully by rolling out Cad with an ambush weapon and resolving damage before they can play removal.
Prepare for War is great in that you can often get your battlefield and you can make up the actions with Cad.
The battlefield is there for you to claim. You move fast enough so you can claim vs any FN decks for sure and likely any other vehicle decks. If they give you the shields, that's fine too.
Cards to keep in your first hand
- A two cost or less weapon
- Prepare for War
- Free removal
- Truce if you have an ambush weapon
Cards to mulligan away
- Sound The Alarm: better late game, depending upon the deck, keep it with Vader, Palpatine, or Aurra
- Bait and Switch: resources are more valuable early game
- Three cost weapons
- Deadly
Potential switches
- Bait and Switch for Logistics: I may try this on a trial basis by putting one of each in.
- Threaten for something else: I have not played this and it gives the opponent the choice.
- Relby-V10 Mortar Gun for some other gun: not sure which one, I have not played this yet, could be a great finisher.

Cards that remove dice for no cost, like Doubt or He Doesn't Like You |
How has Threaten played for you? I had it in my Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert - Ezra Bridger - Force-sensitive Thief deck but ended up cutting it. Wondering if a One-Quarter Portion might be better in that situation? |
or maybe Coercion |
I had it in there for a little and I could never find a time when I would rather play that over a weapon on Cad. I also think it's ideal when they roll out with resources which I never saw happen. Maybe it's just tech vs Buyout but to me, in this deck at least, it seems less useful. |
I might try something like Recon in there since it's removal and fixing in the same card. Plus your dice are out there fast enough so the big downside is a little less in this deck. |
what is free removal? I don't see that in the deck list
