Book 1394

Your eyes don't deceive you; not one goddang bit. This is basic cable, but whittled down into a very sharp and stabby deck. It's fast, it's furious--wrong franchise!

So, yeah, you shield up, abuse Rey, and stab until they're dead. I have yet to lose a game out of 12 on TTS with this current incarnation, but Thor only knows if that means anything. Still, I am a decent-enough player to know there is in fact something here.

You want your battlefield, as you will likely out-claim your opponent. The shield can be used to ping with Liam Neeson. You ideally want Vibroknife and/or Force Speed in your opener. It's even better if you can cheat with Jedi Robes on your opener, overwriting it and extending Rey's life that much more.

This deck is fast and efficient. We do not have time for expensive cards--the one Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber is the exception, and just barely. One With The Force isn't necessary, because you have the means to keep Rey alive: Willpower, Force Illusion, Caution, Defensive Stance, blah-blah. Most of your cards are one or less cost. This is a good thing. We do not need Force Throw and other such things. We just want shields and melee damage. Remember? Basic cable.

Rey's unfair and poorly tested ability does what it does in every deck she is in--which is to say, most of the decks any more. With only a single ambush weapon in the deck, it's not as gratuitously unfair as she can be in other builds, but, nonetheless, she's dang good. The fact that her and Liam Neeson have similar hair has nothing to do with it.

The 16 events are what makes the deck shine. We have six solid die removal options. We claim a lot so High Ground is reliable. We have some nice damage events in Riposte and Synchronicity, which is also a great The Police album. Willpower is fine in a deck that does chip damage. This is such a deck.

We have some other die removal options in Rey's Staff and Makashi Training, but we usually use these cards to inflict pain on others. And let us not forget the fantastic art on Your Eyes Can Deceive You, which also can be used to mess up other people's dice.

Jedi Robes is not a great card. The fact that it is clothing is probably why it is so unimpressive, but the truth is, I just overwrite it anyway. Like I said, it's great in an opener for extra health. Feel free to cut it, but don't put in 3 cost things. That is not smart. You will want resources for your arsenal of cool events. There are 16 of them--I said this, right?

Liam Neeson never really gets attacked, which is funny, since he will be continually stabbing your opponent. They will focus on Rey, which means they are likely a sexist and overcompensating by killing female characters. Unlike in his popular series Taken, Liam Neeson will NOT be trying to save his daughter--I don't think Rey is his daughter, but their hair is pretty similar. Let them pile on Rey. Remember, you have a very particular set of shields. Use them wisely.

Enjoy!

You need some block and parry in there. Your only ennemy is Vibroknife and your shields will do the rest.

@maximus Hasn't been thus far. You can swap out some stuff like willpower easily though.

Makashi does this already. Force Misdirection could be in there

Book 1394

@maximus what you think about dropping Robes and two Force Misdirection?

@Book Drop Your Eyes Deceive you for Force Misdirection? Blanking dice hasn't been beneficial to me in the SoR meta.
